A gorgeous day for a ride, no wind and lots of sun.

Stev, BEFS and I went from ClimachX car park, had a chat with a few others in the car park and then set off up the first climb. Passed a few people on the first climb and had a quick chat with someone else at the top (who we met several times out on the trail later). We then saw Graham and his girlies on a pink halfords special on the next little climb before heading off down the Builth Descent.

At the bottom Steve noticed some sort of mechanical issue so we spent a while trying to sort that out but in the end decided that either the disc brake mount or the mounting bracket was broken so there was little we could do to fix it.

A little later on we stopped for lunch (pasties) and met David again so he stopped and had a chat too... After chatting for a while he said ' hang on, 'you're not Al by any chance are you'... uh oh, how did he know me? Turned out he'd been reading my weblog so knew who I was, so hopefully he'll be joining us for some night rides soon.

The final descent was good as usual although i think Steve was a little fed up by then with rubbing brakes and always seeming to have a 'mechanical' every time he rides.
